The zones every festival has to crew
Multi-stage music festivals, food and wine festivals, A&P shows, community and cultural festivals – the site map changes, but the zones repeat. Each one has its own hours, its own crew size, and its own version of the shift nobody signs up for.
Gates & ticketing
The gates open once, and every lane needs a crew on it when they do. Roster each gate as its own position with its own shift times – main entrance from 10am, campground gate from 8am – and see which lanes are covered before the queue forms.
Bars & hospitality
Licensed positions are a rostering problem before they're a training problem: bar shifts need people of the right age with the right certification, RSA or your local equivalent. Roster those requirements into the position itself, so the right people land on the licensed spots.

Can it handle multi-day events and overnight shifts?
Yes. Shift windows are arbitrary – a shift can start Thursday of build week, run 2am to 6am in the campground, or span the Sunday pack-down. You define the windows the event actually needs, and volunteers pick from those rather than from a one-size day template.
Can paid crew and volunteers be on the same roster?

How big an event can it handle?

Do volunteers sign themselves up?
Yes. You get public sign-up pages for the event – volunteers browse zones and shifts without needing an account, pick the ones they want, and confirm. Coordinators stop being the booking desk and start managing the roster.
What about no-shows on the day?
The live fill dashboards show fill by zone and shift throughout the event, so when a crew comes up short you see the gap while there's still time to redeploy people from an overfilled zone – rather than discovering it when the bar queue is already out the gate.
