Our Story
PurposeTech was born from a simple observation: charities often get stuck with inadequate technology tools. When the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ was struggling with expensive, clunky volunteer management solutions that didn't integrate with their systems, we saw an opportunity to help.
In 2021, during the challenges of COVID-19 lockdowns, we launched a beta platform that helped the Foundation navigate an increasingly cashless society and complex regional restrictions. Despite cancelled sites and changing traffic light settings, our platform adapted to handle these challenges effectively.
On 18 November 2021, Purpose Tech Limited was formally established. Since then, we've grown from strength to strength, supporting organisations like Child Cancer Foundation and Sustainable Coastlines to maximise their volunteer operations.

Strategic technology leader with two decades of experience transforming organisations across commercial and for-purpose sectors. Brooke specialises in bridging complex technical challenges with human-centred solutions that serve people. He is also Managing Director of Redux, a technology strategy consultancy.
Steven Clouston
CTO, Co-Founder
Technology innovator and social impact advocate with 9+ years in software development. As CTO, Steven leads PurposeTech's technology strategy with a focus on creating intuitive, reliable user experiences. His background in Mechatronics Engineering provides a unique understanding of both software and hardware systems.
